Does PE Protective Film Have an Expiration Date? Warning on Storage Conditions

  • Release time: 2026-07-16

Many users find that stored protective film becomes difficult to use, with weaker adhesion or residue issues. This is often due to improper storage. PE film has specific storage requirements.

The ideal environment is the original packaging, kept in a cool, dry, and dark warehouse, with an optimal temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures, which can age and cross-link the adhesive. High humidity can also affect adhesion performance.

For unused stock, we recommend a "first-in, first-out" policy and to use the product within 6-12 months of delivery. Even if the film looks fine after long storage, the adhesive properties may have changed. We suggest performing a quick adhesion test before bulk application of stored stock.
